Copenhagen 3/3 2017. 35,5 cl bottle from Meny, Østerfælled torv, Kbh Ø. What looks like a kid’s drawing of a sun and the insurgente owl on the label.

Pours clear yellow with big white head. Settles as 0,5 cm thick layer of foam. No lacing.

Aroma is intense and distinctly sour and tart. Citric fruit and unripe berries. A whiff of alcohol.

Strong carbonation and watery texture.

Flavor is medium sweet followed by distinct sour bitterness. Aftertaste is bitter with semi dry finish.

Quite nice Mexican Saison.

Look: It pours golden and is fairly clear. It has a white head with moderate retention.

Smell: The initial aromas feature earthly elements and fruity esters. There is a moderate spiciness to it. As it warms there is a slight banana aroma as well.

Taste: The flavors bring out more of the spiciness with the fruity esters. The earthly elements are in the background. There are are also elements of wheat in the background as well.

Feel: It has a moderate body with a very dry finish.

Overall, this is a highly spicy saison with the fruity esters in support with other background notes. Very dry in the finish.

Bottle 355 ml. Appearance is color golden, little hazy and not much head retention. Aroma is sweet like honey, a little citric and fruity hops mixed with spices. Flavor is little malty followed by spices from the belgium yeast - it is a dry beer with little bitterness. Has a little body and little carbonation. It is nice and refreshing.
