Had a chance to re-visit the Gunzenhausen Brauhaus on 24SEP04 and enjoy more Adler Bock! Here are some added notes.... Pours a clear, clean honey gold color, with same, big frothy head. Pick up honey-ish aroma notes as well as in the flavor. Solid medium and verry smooth! A touch dry near the end, with slight floral hoppiness. Sweetness lingers oh so well. Upped the drinkability to 4.5. Prosit!

Original review of 19OCT02: Poured into a 0.5l ceramic stein, the color was hard to discern. I was able to get a glimpse of it during the pour, and it had a light-medium golden color. A huge, white frothy head was produced, which lasts and lasts, and leaves great lacework in the stein. Had a decent, sweet, malty nose - quite pleasing. Medium-bodied, and quite smooth going over the tongue and down the hatch. Tasty malty-sweet flavors abound, though not as rich as a DunkelBock. Finishes very smoothly, with some light caramel notes sneaking around. Quite enjoyable!! (4.5/4.0/4.0/4.5/4.0 = 4.15)
