Skyline Rye - Amber ale, 6.5%, American ale yeast
Well a rye beer that's listed as an amber? Not very standard, but upon receipt of my beer, I essentially agree with the categorization.
Malty amber aromas and flavors were accented with some rye spiciness, and a pretty good medium-chewy body. I guess the impression is more of an amber but the finish is a bit more of a rye beer. Wasn't completely sure which category to put this one in, went with amber but it could be either.
It drank a bit more like an amber ale, with a nice medium body. Pretty tasty stuff.
