It is a surprise that this Oatmeal Stout was first and lastly reviewed almost 33 months ago. The Brewery's taproom and restaurant make and serves a well balanced stout with no over-the-top sweetness, just mild coffee hints but without any aftertaste bitterness. I agree with LXIXME's September 15, 2012 review and descriptions, but have scored the stout a slight bit higher. Tasted in the Restaurant with Chopped Steak with smothered fresh mushroom sauce and a fresh vegetable medley with a baked potato. Then from a Growler filled the next afternoon at the taproom and poured into a glass mug at sunset.

Decent light tan head settles into a nice lacing above a clear darker brown to blackish colored beer.
Rich dark roasted caramel malts with a light coffee undertone aroma.
Dark roasted malts with a decent amount of coffee taste.
A dryish coffee roasted aftertaste on a full bodied stout.
Well done. A nice subdued coffee taste without overwhelming you with those aspects.
