Poured from a tallboy can into a dogfish Head tulip
L: Hazed dull golden pour with 2 fingers of fluffy white head. Outstanding lacing.
S: Bubblegum and stone fruit. Sweet.
T.F: Light grains and sweetness up front. Bubblegum hits the tongue first. Peach and apricot... tangerine and orange rind. Lighter guava and mango. Fruit forward.. with a little spice and floral character. Modest bitterness. Sticky on the tongue. Creamy carbonation. Bubblegum and booze at the finish.
O: A solid DIPA... fruit and bubblegum... ABV not as well hidden as it could be. Easy drinking though... nice beer.

L - pours a deep hazy orange with a tightly knit foamy head. Tha booze keeps the bubbles together.
S - grainy lemon crackers. Dry orange rind, hints of onion, and fruity melon/orange candy.
T - rindy and harsh orange. It's not particularly bitter or overly dry, but very zesty. Toasted orange peel, fresh lemon, and grape candy. Definitely some booze on the end.
F - hefty as an 8% DIPA should be. Low in carbonation, with a chewy, silky feel.
O - when Relic released this, I believe they said it was in their top 3 IPAs for the year. Kinda surprised to see such middling reviews here. It certainly doesn't compete with 6, but it's robust with great flavor. Enjoyable.

Thanks to Brutal Farce for this one from his ninja box from Rookies BIF #2. 12oz can poured into 14oz teku. Poured a solidly opaque orange color with almost 2 inches (this was a very happy beer) of white head that had surprisingly low retention and lacing.
The aroma was all fruity hops, leaning towards citrus. Hints of orange and lemon mostly. no grain or malt to mention. same on the tongue, sweet fruits, no grain, but there a nice tart tang at the very back end.
The body was the expected thin of the style, but at least did have a nicely dry finish. Drinkability was fine, no consumption issues, but it also didn't provide any memory. Overall, pretty average for a Murkbomb.

Appearance is a turbid orange juice color and poured with 2 fingers of airy white head.
Aroma is strong citrus especially grapefruit and lemon.
Taste neither highlights either hop profile yet kind of mutes both. Nice mix of lemon and grapefruit. Also as the beer warms a bit there is a bit of spice that shows up. Almost rye like.
Feel is slightly thin. Crushable though and hides the abv very well.
Overall a fine IIPA. Nice combo of citrus flavors . A little work on the mouthfeel and these would be money. Hides the abv almost too well.

Canned on 9/14/18
Pours a hazy golden straw with a finger and a half of soft, white foam; decent retention, with plenty of soapy lacing holding to the glass and a fair bit of the head lining the surface and its edge.
Aromas of floral, grassy hops and a distinctly bright lemondrop appearance; I’m also getting plenty of ripe mango, peach skins, a bit of hay, and a mild, piney dankness.
Taste brings underripe orange, dank mango, herbal tones, and hints of lemon zest all together; strikes a solid balance between tropical and dank earthiness.
Mouthfeel is medium-bodied with a carbonation on the heavier side; adds a robustness to the profile that certainly increases its impact on the palate. Thins out nicely and at the right times to add a juicy element on the palate, and really adding to the drinkability.
Inoffensive, reasonably flavorful, and easy-drinking; the profile isn’t pronounced enough, nor does it have much distinction to blow me away, but it’s a perfectly fine DIPA.

The can said citra and lemondrop hops so i was expecting something juicey and citrusy... surprisingly this beer isnt exactly that way. It’s got what i can only describe as “relic flavor and mouthfeel” that i find as a commonality to their ipa offerings. Head was thin, airy bubbles. Had a crispness, that i wouldnt describe as bitter on the finish... a bit soda-like. Like orange soda or seltzer. I might be looking for a bit more voluminous mouthfeel and body here. It feels slightly thin to me but overall its a very drinkable ...nay, crushable ipa that belies the 8% abv (Also a signature of relic imo)... so you could walk into trouble here. Haha Great beer.
