"Summer 2012 Experimental Series #4, French Farmhouse Ale brewed with Rye".
Pours a dull copper from a classy half growler into to Relic glass, thin fleeting head. Unfiltered.
Aromas of spice, flowers and yeast.
Taste is sharp, mildly tart and rich. Not overpoweringly spicy with some fruity esters therein. Somewhat dry in the finish, and mouth filling. Not picking up any rye. Must be blended well.
So good. Love that yeastiness and tartness that permeates this brew. Very clean tasting too. A little high in the ABV for a summery beer for my taste, but it does not detract. Another Relic Winner.
