Banana lingers in the tongue. Decent Tripel. Would purchase again.

Bought two 16 ounce cans from the new Beer Drop... and I might drink the second or, more likely, give it away.
CBW's Tripel is a good start if they continue to improve it. But as a business decision, they also might give up on the Belgian tradition and focus on what they do best. CBW is 12 years old and during that time, BA lists two BPAs and, now, this Tripel.
To finish my micro-review... CBW contributes to the task of renewing what was a great American inland city before the 20th Century, only two miles from Buffalo's grandiose City Hall. But into the 21st Century, we have to recognize that brewers make a unique contribution to renewing what the powers-that-be have failed to renew. Power be to the micros ! Let Buffalo Boom again (or words to that effect.)
That over-said, Tripel needs a yeast. This is particularly true in how Tripel Looks: it has a pretty amber, but no lasting foam. It is as if the alcohol killed the life/foam of the brew. Tripel Smells like fruit and two spices, but lacks complexity. Tastes improve slightly in that they are balanced, except for the alcohol... which remains a problem. It is almost like the yeast never moderated the brewers sugar. In my mouth, better than OK; but not distinctive enough for a second try.
But good luck on bringing Buffalo back to when it was North America's inland port.
