375ml bottle served in a big snifter. Vicennial series: VII, Vintage: 2025, Release No: 1, Barrel: Colorado Bourbon.
Pours dark burnt caramel color, very little head that fades to almost nothing, leaves a dark cola looking liquid with a few spotty islands of bubbles. Smell is intense booze and concentrated molasses, vanilla, cola, charred wood.
Taste doubles down on the booze and cola, vanilla almost subsumed by the molasses and charred wood. Bourbon character is quite distinct.
Mouthfeel is thick, smooth, still. Overall, interesting and good, a bit on the boozy side, looking forward to it warming up further as I drink it, though the booze will probably come out stronger.

2025 vintage.
Look - Pours a clear dark ruby color with a medium head that quickly disappears.
Smell - Bourbon, whiskey, and oak. Light hints of dark fruit like figs, and cherry.
Taste - Bourbon, whiskey, and oak, with light notes of dark fruit. I'm not tasting the toffee or caramel that others seem to notice.
Feel - A super easy-drinking barleywine for 19.6%ABV.
Overall - This is a decent barleywine, though it lacked some of the flavors I've gotten used to from other barleywines; it's predominately bourbon flavored. But I have to say, it's super easy-drinking for 19.6%ABV.
