On-draught at Wild Workshop, Wellington.
Barrel Aged Blended Cherry Blossom Sour with Ume & Sencha Green Tea. 6.6% ABV.
Floral. Delicate hints of green tea. Citrus fruit I might mistake for yuzu; apparently I'm way off the mark and it's actually ume plum. Sourness and twang with concomitant acidity. Obvious bacteria; lactobacillus especially.
Woodsy funkiness, acetic acid, oak.
A bit more powdery matcha/green tea flavour would help bring it to the next level, but it's sour and complex enough to please discerning sour drinkers and I quite dig it... easily one of Garage Project's best.
High B+ / VERY GOOD
