Taste: Rich chocolate malt, not overly sweet, nutty some smokey tobacco and coffee bean notes, dry finish. Same with the nose. Dark brown, semi clear, tan head with nice ring of lattice. Medium to med/full body. Nice to have after a meal. 14 IBUs

Had a pint of this at the brewpub after trying a sample.
Dark mahogany brown, compact layer of tan foam that retains a good level of coverage. Spotty lacing around the edges, skim breaks and recedes to a ring after getting through half the glass.
Aroma has a nice balance of toasty malts and molasses/maple sweetness.
Rich taste with a supple feel, toast and maple, or possibly molasses, but leaning towards maple. More of an authentic taste than a hfcs maple syrup. Creamy and smooth, easy to drink. Kind of seems like they took a page from Rolling Meadows after trying Abe's Ale.
