Brauhaus in Spandau GmbH “ Spandauer Festbier”

Notes: starting gravity between 13 and 15˚ Plato. 5.3% ABV.
Look: Cloudy deep amber colored body beneath a full head of white foam. Very good head retention and lacing.
Smell: Mildly sweetish and toasty bread.
Taste: Rich, sweet, bready, mildly caramelish, and toasty. There's just a smear of grassy hops in the background. A moderate bitterness leads it to a lingering, semi-dry finish.
Feel: Medium-full in body and gently crisp with a moderate, seemingly natural, fine-bubbled carbonation.
Overall: Really quite nicely balanced on the sweeter side. Highly enjoyable.
