Appearance: Pours a lightly murky, darkish bronze body with a goodly-sized stack of near white foam.
Smell: Bready, gently toasty malt, a big pinch of sugar and spice with a snappy mint accent, resiny elements and varied notes of fresh tropical fruits.
Taste: Lightly bready, everso faintly toasty malts with a honeyish, toffee-tinged sweetness. Sprig of mint leaf, a resinous vein and a blend of tropical fruit juices - papaya, white grapefruit and Valencia oranges. Moderately bitter. Brightly acidic. A little alcohol showing. Citric but also still showing those resins and minty hint on the slightly creamy finish.
Mouthfeel: Medium-light body. Medium carbonation.
Overall: Feels more like an amped up pale than a double IPA, but I still liked it.

Great band. Amazing beer. Burnt Hickory finally made a beer for a band i've heard of! LOL! Very solid pale ale/ipa hybrid. spicy yet not very bitter.

22oz bottle from Sprayberry Bottle Shop (Marietta, GA). 9.99. Released 10/7/15. Served in a Burnt Hickory snifter.
Pours a murky orange yellow with a finger and a half thick pale head. The froth takes its time settling to a thin veneer across the surfaces and a full collar that leaves some large-ish swaths of lacing.
Aromas of cracker, melon, citrus, floral and vague mint. There are hops for sure but they are fairly soft, allowing the malt to show through.
Taste follows the nose. Melon, orange pulp, faint lemon, mint, pepper, cracker, bread and a light alcohol presence. The hop flavors are quite nice and are complimented by the full malts. Goes down quite easily for its 8% abv.
Fullish feel somewhere between creamy and resinous with moderate carbonation. Malt and melon play on the palate in the finish.
While I'd probably be more inclined to label this more of an imperial pale ale than an IPA, Drivin N Cryin is quite tasty. The malt are very forward but the flavors work well together. Another worthy brew from Burnt Hickory.

On tap at BSP
Too dark to really tell, but looked moderately light and clear
Smell has nice orange at the forefront
Taste also highlights the orange character. Nice and bright. The darker malt character in their other IPAs is noticeably absent here, which I consider a big plus.
Easy drinking, very nice IPA

I have had this on draft from the Brewery and 22 ounce bomber at home.
I'm not the big hop head like some people but this is one of my favorite ipas ever! In all honesty though, what I like about it some others might not.
Beer has a phenomenal flavor and great hop aroma and finish. With almost no bitterness up front. Not being the big hop head I really like that but I do suspect some others might want a little more bite on the tongue. Even though I love that aspect I did ding the score just a little in fairness to others because I think the style might demand the bitterness.
