Poured from a bomber into an Irish pint glass.
A: Pours a dark chocolate with ruby highlights. A half-finger tan head maintains and laces well.
S: Notes of graham cracker, cinnamon, blueberry and booze.
T: Lots of cinnamon with notes of graham cracker, toffee and just the right amount of blueberry. Some toast and bread crust on the back end. The sweetness builds up quickly, making it a long, rich beer to drink.
M: Medium body for a Dbl/Imp Stout, some crispness of carbonation on the front of the tongue, but not enough to scrub the sweetness on the palate.
O: Nice balance of flavors, although eventually it becomes a little on the rich and sweet side. The cinnamon-sweet aspect wears your palate out pretty quickly. I do think this would be a fantastic dessert beer with something clean and simple like pound cake, and if you can finish an entire bomber on your own then you may have a sweet tooth of Oompa Loompian proportion.
