22oz bottle from the brewery. $12. No bottling date. Served in a Burnt Hickory snifter.
Pours a cloudy deep pinkish red with a finger and a quarter cap of pale pink froth. The head dies gradually, leaving neither retention nor lace.
Smells of soured grains, cherry cough syrup and faint sugar. It's pretty nice, really.
Tart cherry bursts on the palate from the first sip and remains the primary flavor throughout. Mild grains, vague earth and some Sour Patch-like sugar. Refreshing, tasty and thoroughly drinkable.
Faintly chalky, light feel with soft carbonation. Aftertaste of tart cherries and sour yet still sweet grains.
I may not have been the biggest fan of the base beer but Poppa Chewy is vibrant with delicious sour cherry.

Shared bomber.
Very large but weak head over a hazy reddish body.
Lightly funky and fruity aroma. Nice tart flavor with cherries and vague other soft light fruits.
