Pint on tap near the brewery.
Clear amber body with a decent head.
Appealing, fruity aroma that erroneously suggests a sweet drink.
Moderately bitter and strong for style, but leaning towards bold for a session IPA.

Poured from a 12 OZ can into a pint glass. The appearance is a clear amber orange color with a large white head. The aroma is fruit and hops. The taste is similar to the nose.

12 ounce can - Charlie's Beer & Wine in Marietta, Georgia.
No Canned On/Best Before dating.
Appearance: Pours a darkened, dimmed gold body, lightly hazed with an inch of near white, creamyish foam. Just a smidge of lacing.
Smell: Toffee-ish, lightly buttery aroma atop hoppy notes smelling of ruby red grapefruit, bitter orange and hinting just slightly of some minutely dank resinous tones.
Taste: Bready, lightly buttery and liberally glazed with sweetish toffee candy. Touch of grain tannin. Incoming earthy spiciness and piquant resins with citrus and a little pine. Medium-plus bitterness. Drying, lightly citric, lightly spicy finish.
Mouthfeel: Medium-bodied. Medium-soft carbonation. Smooth mouthfeel.
Overall: A bit disappointingly sweet and buttery.

12oz can acquired at the brewery. No canning date but it was just picked up last week. Served in a Burnt Hickory snifter. Enjoyed 2/13/18.
Pours burnt gold with about a finger and a half cap of beige head. The foam shrinks to a thin surface blanket and full halo, leaving some huge sheets of lacing.
Smells of berries, faint melon and a hint of cake.
Taste follows the nose rather well. Mildly bitter citrus peel, berry seeds, vague melon, a little rye-like spice and some cakey sweetness.
Medium light feel with moderate carbonation. The slightly bitter aftertaste holds notes of rye, berry, faint melon and cake.
Another tasty hoppy offering from Burnt Hickory. This latest tribute to Drivin N Cryin shows some malt character like a rye or red IPA. Whatever style they decide to call it, DNC Mystery Road Straight To Hell is a ln easy drinker that punches above its weight.

Appearance - Pours cloudy orange color with nice dense white head with great lacing all around the glass.
Aroma - Light tropical fruit orange and mango, hint of hops with just a touch of malt at the end.
Taste - The tropical flavors of mango and orange come out a little more along with some grapefruit and pine resin. Pretty decent flavors nice bitter finish and well balanced.
Feel - Medium bodied well carbonated pretty bitter dry finish.
Overall - I was thinking this was just a gimmick but the flavors are pretty good, nice aroma and flavors for a low ABV beer.
