Really, really well done DIPA. This is unlike every Night Shift beers I've had.
Looks like a nice IPA, nothing too crazy about the appearance, but it does look nice.
Smells hugely dank. Lots of tropical fruit sweetness, less on the pine and a biscuit malt character.
Huge tropical flavors up front, papaya, little bit of pineapple. Mid mouth I'm picking up a huge grapefruit presence and then it fades into a thick malty sweetness.
Mouthfeel is a little syrupy, slightly under carbonated.
This straddles the line between an amazing DIPA and a beer that is slightly too sweet. An outstanding first attempt at a double IPA. Up there in the top 3 beers produced by night shift to date.
