On-tap at Night Shift Brewing in Everett, Massachusetts.
A- Medium-dark brown, otherwise clear body with a half finger white head. Fair retention, no lacing.
S- Dark fruits, faint cherries, pale malt, a nice grapeskin tartness and a bit of lactate. This does smell great.
F- Darker grape tartness, candi sugar, a hint of cherry, toffee malt. A nice tartness that isn't overwhelming at all and complements the sweet components well.
M- Medium body, full flavoured with a nice prickly fizziness signifying higher carbonation. Enjoyable to sip or to drink either way. Refreshing dry tartness.
O- Reminds me of Abbaye de Saint Bon Chien, but with less sweetness which I actually may prefer, although there isn't funk or oak. Very good stuff, I'd have taken bottles/growlers home with me if they had it available.
