Mini growler was poured into a nonic glass.
Appearance: A one finger head was poured that reduced to a thin layer. It is a pale yellow color with great clarity and vision of bubbles coming up through the glass. Spotty lacing down the glass as the beer was drank. I remember beers in Salzburg were a bit clearer though.
Smell: Toasted, bready, grainy, malty, sweet, and some grassy notes.
Taste: Really malt forward with little hop flavor. Maltier than I would like. Very little hop flavor masked mostly by this malt bomb.
Mouthfeel: Chewy, really toasted, malty, medium to full bodied, and medium carbonation. A bit malty for this style.
Overall: A bit more chewery than I would like. A little crisper, cleaner, and refreshing would be nice.

My wife ordered this at the brewery and couldn't finish it so passed it to me. Nose is bready malts with not much going on. Taste is strange.....watered down bread crumbs. Minimal hop presence. Not much flavor at all. Overall this one is a miss to me. Not good at all.
