Double IPA in our Presidential DIPA Series - juicy notes of ripe cantaloupe and orange, finishing bitter and tropical!

32oz. growler into a stemless Heady Topper snifter.
Pours a 1 finger foamy white head with poor retention. Beer is a cloudy grapefruit. Lacing is patchy and sticky with great cling. A solid looking beer.
Nose is mango, papaya, citrus and cane sugar. Aromatic and very juicy.
Opens mango, starfruit and papaya. Citrus tartness in the middle mixed with a tropical fruit hop bitterness balanced by a cane sugar and sweet and juicy malt back. Finishes hoppy and tropical fruit with the same aftertaste. Pretty simple but very robust and flavorful.
Medium bodied with moderate carbonation. Smooth and full in the mouth and goes down slightly spicy and soft. Finishes messy with a lingering, aggressive aftertaste. Really good.
I haven't been a fan of all of Night Shift's hoppy offerings but their presidential series continues to impress. Adams is no exception. Certainly worth seeking out!

Slightly sticky. Piney. Awesome balance of hops and sweet. My favorite DIPA from them so far.
