First night shift beer. After reading reviews, poured in pint glass and left in cold room for 15-20 min to air out and stay cold. This was awesome, more grapefruit (and cheaper) than grapefruit sculpin. Bought this and Hop hunter a week ago and it's been a good week.

Don't understand the hype - this is neither great nor bad, a pretty run of the mill IPA. A bit too resin-y for my tastes, hop presence fades after the 1st few sips and the beer warms up a bit.

Poured from a 12oz. can into a IPA glass.

The color is hazy yellow with a slight tint of orange and about two fingers of foamy white head with thick lacing left on the glass.

The smell is orange with a rind aroma that is reminding me of orange juice and gives me visions of pulp. There is slight pith here that is quite inviting. The nose just speaks orange and my mouth waters in expectation of orange juice.

The taste is slightly orange with some of the expected orange juice flavor but there is also some lemon flavor that comes out and really let’s it self be known. There is a slight berry flavor that is a little raspberry and even a little blueberry. There is a slight blanket of smooth biscuit flavor that hovers over and fills in any gaps in the flavor so there are continuous flavor hitting you. Bitterness is here at the end with a mild grass flavor and a slightly bigger fruit slap.

The feel of this beer is smooth and is like silk or velvet as it goes down.
It just glides through and leaves just a slight resiny feel that hangs only slightly and then you’re looking for more. There is a great drinkable feel and it doesn't even measure on the palette and never of a moment starts to build.

Small, white head from the pour out of the can. Good ring lace after each sip. Whitish (from the cloudiness) gold color.

Prickly, piney hop aroma. Lots of grapefruit and citrus rind as well.

Starts smooth with a decent pale malt base. The bitterness is straight forward and leans on the harsh side. Long, long aftertaste as one might expect. The body is as expected with a mildly elevated carbonation level. Borderline extreme.
