Wow - what a smooth wheat. This would be a great summer ale - at 3.5 I am not surprised at how smooth it is. Good on the nose. Smooth to the taste with nothing overwhelming the wheat and earthiness of the beer. The feel is what gets you here. It is like a session beer - basic and watery smooth. There is nothing not to like, but nothing other than the feel that would cause this to be outstanding.

Surprisingly clear (for the style). Gold color. Small head but it leaves streaks and spots of lace.
More bitter than wheaty to the nose. A little bit earthy.
Borderline sour with a solid pale malt base. There's enough of a hop touch to balance this brew, but otherwise this is fairly neutrally flavored. Short aftertaste. The body and carbonation comes in on the mid-point of the scale.

Served on-draft at Night Shift. Cloudy pale straw body, no head sticking around. Tart, funky aromas; just that very distinct wheat-focused Berliner aroma. Flavor is pretty nice, fairly typical with a more restrained sour/tartness than other commercial American takes on the style.

On tap at the brewery. Served in a snifter. Wheat aroma. Light citrus. Lemony tart flavor. Wheat. Light maltiness. Light body and crisp. Nice. I don’t get much of the pale ale, though. Mostly berliner.
