Cannot believe this rating. This is pure swill. This reminds me of an ipa in 2012. This has an overly malty taste with a small fruity smell. Do not buy this beer. Don’t make the same mistake I did. Absolute piss beer.

On tap at 2 Bros. Pours a hazy yellow with an inch of frothy head. Lots of lacing. The aroma is lots of citrus, of course. Grapefruit, lemon, lime and fruity candy. The taste is the fruity candy, almost like Starburst or Skittles. Lemon, pink grapefruit, lime and tangerine. Medium body with a slightly oily mouthfeel. Not much alcohol heat.

A: The beer is very cloudy and hazy yellow in color. It poured with a half finger high bright white head that died down, leaving a thin head covering the surface and lots of lacing down the sides of the glass.
S: Light to moderate aromas of gooseberries and limes are preset in the nose.
T: The taste follows the smell and has flavors of limes along with strong notes of gooseberries.
M: It feels medium-bodied and slightly crisp on the palate with a moderate amount of carbonation.
O: For a single hop IPA, this beer is quite flavorful and also has nice aromatic properties. It is very easy to drink.

Tall can, "canned 03/06/18"

Nice looking hazed pour, leaves delicate off white fluff, and a load of fine scattered lace. Nice looking brew.

Lemony sniff, bright and fruity.

Delicious NE style IPA, hazy and juicy, with more lemons, pineapple, grapefruit. resiny/grapefruit filled hoppy finish...fresh and tasty...go get some

Pours a hazy purple color with 2.2875 fingers of head that fades like a rainbow down to a champagne bubbly cap that leaves spotty naught lingerie lacing

S: Lots of citra up front porch along with a touch of malted malt. Skittles, starburst, and pumpkin stand out

T: Follows the toes. Starts off with the desert dune of squash that is moderately religious. Goes into a light earthiness that helps to unbalance the zanginess. Finishes with lingering mold, including nutmeg and wet paint

M: anorexic with moderate negative carbonation

O: A great single hopskotch IPA that definitely goes launch on the citra. Very easy to massage on as well. Definitely check it in

Poured from a 16 oz can into a tulip glass.

Pours a hazy golden yellow color with a finger of bright white head. Excellent retention on the head, leaving a few spots of lace before settling into a thick, foamy blanket.

The aroma is dank and grassy, with notes of orange rind and mango. The cracker malt is subtly present on the back end.

The flavor follows the nose. Lots of grassy notes with plenty of citrus rind and overripe mangoes. Slightly piney with a cracker malt finish.

The feel is medium-light bodied with moderate carbonation. A touch oily, but very clean and smooth.

Overall, a solid IPA that doesn't really do the Citra hop justice. Nothing stands out in the flavor or aroma. Still, a balanced and drinkable beer.

16oz can dated 9/13/17.

Pours cloudy straw yellow with an inch of white froth. Plenty of tattered lacing and moderate retention. Aromatics are tropical, juicy, and dank. Grapefruit pith with unripe peach. Medium bodied with a soft, almost creamy mouthfeel. A bit chalky. Dank citrus on the palate with zero malt and a light bitterness. Finishes very dry with lingering citrus pith and a moderate bitterness.

Great beer and full of Citra goodness.

Picked up some of this at Julio's. Canned on 9/15.

A - Poured into my Duvel tulip a nice slightly hazy dark straw hue with a nice two finger white head that fades slowly to leave a creamy blanket.

S - Aromas of orange juice and orange zest, light grassy hops, little bit of tropical fruit notes, faint mango. Light on the malts.

T - Taste is similar to the nose. Nice orange zest flavour, little bit of grassy hops, candied mango. Very little malt sweetness though I do get a fair amount of crackery wheat. Finish is very light grapefruit bitterness.

M - Mouthfeel is lightly carbonated, crisp, clean.

O - Overall this was a solid IPA. Hop notes were pleasant, quite easy to drink. Solid beer.

S- On the nose I get citrus and grassy notes, with a slight hint of wheat.

T- The palate follows the nose with citrus fruits up front, lemongrass notes in the middle, and sweet malt and wheat on the back end.

Pours slightly hazy, caution light yellow in color, with 3/4 inch head. Taste is big dank hops, starfruit, and pale malt. Slightly bitter, medium bodied, and carbonation. Makes for a nice show case for the citra hop. I prefer other beers by Night shift but this is solid.

Canned 9/15/17

Pours a large fluffy foamy 1 finger head that fades at a med to slower pace, soapy lacing, very hazy murky pale yellow color

Nose explodes with citra goodness, lots of orange juice, grapefruit pith, a little dank musty thing, tropical mango, papaya, and a hint of crackery malt

Taste brings more of the same, some dankness up front, little musty tropical fruit, quickly into orange cream, citrus pith but not necessarily grapefruit, little mango juice and papaya, creamy cracker malt base, light base male, a fair bitterness. Lingering bitter pith, citrus rind, and a little cracker wheat like malt.

Mouth is med to a bit lighter bod, decent carb, a little creamy.

Overall nice representation of citra, seems to hit most of the different aspects of the hop, a nice bitterness, light malts but enough to let the hop showcase. Maybe my fav of the OHTT series, also one of my fav hops so that makes sense.

Thanks Drew. Canned on 12/06/16. This was poured into a becher pint glass. The appearance was a semi-dark hazy burnt yellow almost orange color. Finger’s worth of white foamy head stood atop the glass and that trickled down nicely. Moderate clingy semi-speckled lacing hung all around. The aroma takes some grapefruit rind bitterness to slap against some smooth citrus pulpiness, somewhat creamy-like. Subtle piney hop nuances underneath. The flavor starts bitter and gets a nice smooth sweet creamy citrus pulpiness to it. Reminiscent of juice but still the creaminess is there. No aftertaste but a quick bittersweet citrusy finish. On the palate, this one sat about a light to medium on the body with a nice sessionability about it. Moderate carbonation. Appropriate bitterness level, but still the creaminess likes to smooth it all out a bit. Overall, damn nice AIPA that I would love to have again.

I have only had Night Shift Brewing due to trade partners throwing it in as extras, but I must wonder if they've been looking for someone on which to dump this beer. The beer was canned 2 weeks ago, and tastes like dust, which would be fine if that was how they've marketed the brew instead of trying to explain that it's filled with tropical fruit and candied citrus flavors.

Pour is a nearing straw yellow hue, slightly cloudy with a big frothy white head. Plenty of citrus in the aroma, orange zest and lemon peel. Hint of bready white cracker like malt. Taste follows the nose well, subtle citrus zest, cracker like malt. Hardly noticeable hints of hops. Mouthfeel is medium bodied, great carbonation and very refreshing. Solid, yet simple single hop IPA. Nice showcase of citra.

@ State of Beer

Hazy pale orange capped with a slab of tight-bubbled cream that fades to a soapy ring. Aroma is light, but nice...Citra hop juiciness and fresh airy citrus. Citra hop characteristics in the mouth as well, not as bold as expected, but more expressive as it warms a little. Grapefruit, peach, tangerine, lemon, and some piney greenness. Medium bodied, smooth, and fluffy soft. Solid.

(16 oz can dated 12/20/16 - drank 4 weeks later, pint glass)

Pours a pale hazy gold with lots of carbonation - I had a 3-finger fluffy white head that forms clumps more than lacing. The aroma is refreshingly pleasant resinous mix of pineapple, pine and grapefruit. Aroma is stronger than most of this beer style (but not in the category of "dank") and that gets my up-vote for sure.

Taste is wonderfully balanced combination of fruity hops and slightly sweet cracker malt. Not very bitter but that is the trend with the juicy IPAs. One night argue this is marginally an IPA as a result, but for the style they are going for this hits the nail dead on and with force. The mouth feel is somewhat creamy and thin due to the lack of bitterness. Again, goes with the style. Aftertaste slowly fades to a tangy pine buzz - this gets more vote from me as well.

Overall this is a great ambassador for the juicy hazy NE IPA. It is well worth going out of the way to hunt it down. For a single hop it packs a great balanced flavor.

Short review as I didn't intend to do a write up tonight but this is incredible, the best I've had from Night Shift and FRESH (Can date 1/4 - drinking on 1/14) You pick up the aroma without even trying, Citra done right, easily comparable to some offerings from another local brewery (Trillium) one of my favorite IPAs if you can find it fresh, get it.

Moderate pour yields a 1/2 inch that dissipates to a ring within minutes, but a little swirl brings it right back. Body is a bit hazy. Nice lacing that sticks around for a while. A floral nose with citrus. Taste of citrus that finishes with grapefruit. A very nice mouthfeel as well. Very well balanced with a nice, clean finish. Overall, another nice job from these guys.

Hazed light golden blonde, one finger of white head and some lace. Smell has lots of tropical fruit, citrus, peach and mango, major fruit bomb, very light malt bill. Taste is fruity with a medium bitterness, long pulls of peach and grapefruit, pineapple and mango, dry finish, a bit of an earthy note into the finish as well, fruity aftertaste. Light-Medium carbonation, medium full body. A nice single hop IPA, juicy and fruity, easy to drink.

Wow, this beer is seriously underrated. I believe this holds up well to the fort point variations from trillium. So drinkable and smooth. Citra hops explode with juiciness.

not too hazy on the pour, but definitely not translucent. nice foamy head that retains well. smell is big big citra: sweet lemon, grapefruit, orange peel, and a crackery malt on the end. taste is huge on the sweet grapefruit, theres also some tropical pineapple right before bitter lemon and orange take over. the malt is more apparent with the taste but this is still by no means balanced. this one almost reminded me of a less boozy Sip of Sunshine. Feel was spot on, nice and clean. such a good one hop this time variant. the Vic Secret was definitely juicier, but I think I prefer this one over it.
