There's plenty of non-barley malt like foam on top of the first pour of a pint can's contents into a clear glass Imperial pint mug. It's stark white and it recedes quickly, without any glass lacing. The color of the beer is very light amber, but cloudy. It seems more grainy and wheaty to the nose than an IPA should be, as there's only a vague hit of hops to be had. This drinks as almost every barley malt deprived concoction does. There's relatively no IPA body, nor malt backbone to play against the hops. Here, isolated the Nelson Savin hops prove unworthy of carrying a beer by themselves. Unless by some weird taste experience you love this specifically undistinguished variety of hops, this won't be for you. This is a definite don't bother.

Pours a murky light orange with a small head and some lacing.
Smells of piney hops and citrus
Tastes of grapefruit, grapes and slightly bitter hops.
Medium light body with light carbonation. Light clean mouthfeel.
This is a very drinkable brew.

One i was sad I missed, then magically it started showing up again in mixed 4-packs, but still canned on 3/17
Pours a very large fizzy bubbly 3 finger head that fades quickly with spotty lacing, murky pale honey orange color.
Nose typical Nelson, a bit grassy, floral, vinous white grape must, lemony, touch of citrus zest, mild cracker wheat malt.
Taste brings a little sweet cereal malt out front, grainy and toasted wheat, then bitter hops, more bitter than I expected, grassy floral and spicy out front, then lemon and citrus zest, a touch of white grape must and skin, and a hint of bubblegum. Finishes dry and quite bitter, hops are pretty spicy late.
Mouth is med bod, lots of carbonation.
Overall pretty nice representation of Nelson, that is until the finish which is bitter and spicy and not the typical Nelson, otherwise a nice beer.

Poured from the can into a snifter.
Pours a murky light blonde with a thick one finger of head.
Aromas are light lemon, light hops.
Flavor is also light, lemon and barely hoppy. Mild bitterness.
Mouthfeel was quite good.
Overall, another kind of forgettable beer. Nothing terribly wrong here, just very little stands out.

Pours a hazy golden hue. Not terribly aromatic. Lots of peppery Nelson character. Very earthy and dry. Wish it had a little more sweetness. A nice beer but not my the best use of Nelson by any means.
