Canned 7/13/17 - I do love me some Eureka hops... usually
Pours a giant fluffy foamy 3 finger head that fades at a med pace, tons of soapy lacing, mostly hazy golden pilsner color.
Nose is super musty, dank resin, onion city, earthy herbal vegetal hop thing, huge green onion, a little pine, what the hell happened to this hop batch?
Taste brings more of the same, big green onion, super dank musty resiny nasty hop, earthy and a bit spicy, big herbal vegetal, rancid vegetable oil, a little toasted malt.
Mouth is med bod, fluffy carb
Overall the hops were just horrible on this one, not sure what happened to the Eureka, from what I've heard and what I thought was specific to Mosaic, is apparently the chemical they treat the hops with to prevent critters from eating them, causes the terrible green onion dank musty earthy nasty character, and this stinks of it! Completely undrinkable!!!

A- Slightly cloudy, golden yellow brew from the tallboy into a snifter with a thick, creamy white head. The cap peaks at about an inch high with good retention. Large sheets of lace stick to the glass at each sip.
S- Dank herbs, onions and fruits. I've been wondering where a certain hop note was coming from lately and I think this answers that question. This is so sticky and dank like super fresh skunk weed its crazy. All about those hops with notes of pineapple, garlic, mango, floral, earthy and herbal things to compliment the aforementioned dankness.
T- The dankness carries over in the forefront but it is not as dramatic as in the aroma allowing other things to come to light. Grapefruit citrus, pineapple, papaya, bubble gum and a very bitter herbal-earthy-floral quality throughout. Skunk weed remains in the finish forever.
MF- A medium body with a silky smooth, creamy texture. Very high level of carbonation and it all finishes off with a strong herbal bitterness on the palate.
Turns out Eureka is the hop I have been wondering about lately; if not something else very similar. Intense dank herbs with tropical, citrus and floral qualities as well.

Pours a lightly hazy pale orange in color with a finger+ of dense, long lasting white head. Aroma is very dank and a bit earthy with a hint of candied pineapple in the background. Taste hits the same notes as the aroma but with a bit less intensity; the earth and dank notes are a bit more balanced. Light+ bodied with moderate carbonation, seems a bit thin to me. Overall a very tasty beer. When I first had it on tap a few days ago I was less impressed but I happened to swing by the taproom this after and pick up a 4-pack on a whim, I'm very glad i did.
