Can from the Packie
Lightly hazy with the faintest of gold in the color and a frothy long lasting bone white head. Earthy grassy pine and perfume with a touch of alcohol. Flavor is a bit grassy and peppery too. Not juicy like those hops normally present. Canned a month ago. Not horrible, no flaws, but not screaming ipa either.

A: The beer is very hazy yellow in color and has some hints of amber hues. It poured with a quarter finger high white head that consistently left a short head covering the surface after it died down.
S: Moderate aromas of grapefruit and papaya are present in the nose.
T: The taste starts off with flavors of papayas and finishes with those of grapefruit and hints of lemon, the latter of which becomes stronger as the beer begins to warm up. There is a light amount of bitterness and faint amounts of alcohol.
M: It feels medium-bodied and a little crisp on the palate with a moderate amount of carbonation.
O: I liked how once this beer warmed up a bit it had balanced flavors of grapefruit, lemon, and papaya.

Poured into a 13 oz Teku glass canned on 7/8/2020. Pours a hazy orange with a finger sticky white head that leaves thick streaks of lace, with excellent retention. 4.25

Smell is ripe melon, guava, mandarin, peach, apricot, and grapefruit rind. 4

Taste follows cantaloupe, guava, mandarin orange, peach, apricot, and some bitter grapefruit bite in the lingering finish. 4

Mouthfeel is above medium, a tad sticky not dry, soft gentle carbonation, and at 7.8% it drinks bigger in flavor, but goes down really easy. 4.25

Overall this is really nice, not just a juice bomb. Could pick this one out of a lineup and that is really a good thing for me. 4

Pours a hazy orange with a short-lived head.

Smells of bitter citrus and pine. Tastes of grapefruit with a bitter finish . This bitterness which diminished toward the end of the glass.

Medium body and light carbonation.

This beer has a relatively simple bouquet and taste but is still quite enjoyable.

I love Night Shift, and this is a solid double IPA, but it didn't live up to my extremely high expectations -- I suppose it isn't fair, but their beer is so consistently excellent. In any event, this is a good, but not great offering. It does not pack quite as strong of a palate punch as one would expect from a double IPA, but the smell and mouthfeel are both good. Slight pungent, citrus. It pours a relatively hazy gold/yellow. I'm going to try it again, but these are my first thoughts.

Poured a orange copper color with a 2F head in a Garrison Teku Glass.

Peach, earthy, citrus aroma.

Semi viscous MF.

Peach, pear, citrus taste.

Good hoppy finish.

Excellent beer from Night Shift. My goto Boston area #brewery. This deserves better reviews.

Not much haze or head in this DIPA. Canned on 8/20, enjoyed on 9/21. Citrus and funk on the pallet. Was expecting more out of a night shift as I am a huge fan of morph

A: Hazy golden-amber with a half-finger of white head on top.

S: Odd nose - like stale beer meets old pineapple juice. But in a good way.

T: Pineapple juice and citrusy bitterness. Underlying sweetness. Think mango, melon, papaya, tangerines.

M: Medium in heft, some creaminess in feel.

O: The more I drink it the more I like it.

Papaya, mango, over ripe peach, melon, pineapple and pine. Biscuit malt. Medium bodied. Lower amount of sweetness with a building bitterness the more you drink. It's pretty good but clunky.

Canned 3/26/18, poured into my Night Shift chalice, during the Bruins - Leafs playoff game. What could be better?

Pours a nice creamy thicker 1 finger head that retains well esp for the abv, decent lacing, super murky darker orange slight tan color

NOse really interesting fruit, a strawberry kiwi like thing going on initially, a bit of stone fruit notes with apricot, a little citrus note but mild, mango cream, more tangerine as it warms, maybe touch of bubblegum, some alcohol notes with fruity esters coming with it and maybe a little not quite solventy but something extra from the yeast and alcohol I can't label

Taste brings some mild creamy malt, a little toasty grainy, big hops, starting with some fruit again, little stone fruit apricot, citrus with a little orange cream and tangerine, touch mango sorbet, hops turn a little grassy herbal leafy, and spicy, also more of that mild yeasty finish with a little home-brew like off character I still can't label, coming with the mild fusel alcohol notes, I think they are some weird phenols, a bit bitter turning a little spicy bitter on the back end, finishing drier but more alcohol and bitterness, and a bit flat

Mouth is med bod, creamy juicy a bit, decent carb, a bit tingly booze

Overall this seemed like a homebrew, I think they pulled it a bit too early and didn't let it attenuate enough, or fermented a bit too warm or stressed the yeast, not sure but there is something off, decent interesting hops but otherwise a bit off, and especially for Night Shift.

I am a fan of nightshirt and this beer is solid but not my favorite.

Look - it is a pale juicy body with foam that dissapears.
Smell - not as on the nose as I would prefer. Definitely smell some fruity hops but the boozyness takes over.
Taste - my favorite part of this beer. Taste is a candied fruit... pineapple, papaya. I don't know. It is good though. Sweet but not overpowering, IPAish but not boozy.
Feel - a little strong on the carbonation but with the taste it gives it a good snap on the toungue.

Overall - an IPA in line with NS's other offerings. Reminds me of Thievery (my favorite from them) but not as fruity. I am definitely picking up some to take home.
