Poured on draft at the brewery.

Pours a cloudy deep mahogany color with a finger and a half of creamy tan head. The head leaves a nice ring of lacing before settling into a thin sheet.

The aroma is full of roasted nuts, caramel, and plums with just the slightest hint of graham crackers and brown sugar.

The taste brings notes of roasted pecans, plums, fig, and raisin bread.

The body is thick and chewy, with extremely low carbonation. A touch syrupy with some alcohol warmth on the finish.

Overall, a very good barleywine that is full of flavor and thick as maple syrup. A bit on the sweet side, but never cloying. Definitely a beer worth trying.
