Canned 2/7/21
What I assume is the next iteration of their Fluffinity, we have Fluffier, a double NEIPA clocking in at 9%. As always I have plenty high expectations for a Night Shift beer, and I also have the next one in the series, Fluffiest, waiting in my fridge. Let’s see what this one is all about
Pours a hazy burnt gold with 3 fingers of rocky white head that slowly fades to a cap and leaves nice lacing
This is quite sweet and tropical in the nose, very heavy melon all around. I’m picking up on aromas of overripe cantaloupe, honeydew, orange rind, sweet mango, doughy malt, and grassy hops
It’s not quite as sweet taste wise, but there’s still a nice balance to it. On the front end of the sip I’m tasting pale malt, orange juice, light pineapple, and oily hops. The swallow brings notes of red grapefruit, cantaloupe, doughy malt, and some lightly spicy hops
A medium full body pairs with very mild carbonation, resulting in a smooth and slightly sticky beer. Finishes off dry with a decent sweetness
I’d say this one is a winner overall, definitely better than Fluffinity. Pretty simple, yet effective. I’d get it again

Poured from a 16 oz can into a tulip glass.
Pours a hazy pale gold color with a finger of fluffy (Ha!) white head. The head leaves a crown of lacing as it settles into a ghostly thin sheet.
The aroma is a bit faint, but brings subtle notes of grapefruit and orange rind, with a hint of mango and pineapple on the back end.
The flavor is very citrusy, bringing notes of grapefruit, tangerine, and lemon before a wave of pineapple and bready malt. Finishes bitter, earthy and piney.
The feel is medium bodied with moderate carbonation. Creamy, with a soft warming from the alcohol.
Overall, a pretty good DIPA that doesn't nearly live up to its predecessor. It's citrusy and soft but lacks that punch of flavor and drinkability that Fluffy brings.

Cloudy with a quickly dying head. Tiny spots for lace.
The the smell weedy.
The start is smooth with a pale malt start. The hop is biting, leaving a long aftertaste.
