Canned 10/08/18, wish I had it a little fresher
Pours a nice big foamy fluffy almost 2 finger head that fades slowly, nice lacing and retention, super hazy with tons of sediment tan and little golden orange color
Nose is still bright and juicy, loads of citrus, big orange juice, tangerine, some mango sherbet, touch of papaya and generic tropical notes, hint of creamy malt in the background
Taste starts a little creamy wheat and malt, mild toasted doughy base, but juicy hops behind that, more citrus, orange tangerine mostly, a little mango rind, plenty of grapefruit pith as well with fair bitterness, turning spicy and very bitter on the finish, lots of rind and spicy chewy hops, a touch astringent
Mouth is med bod, a little soft juicy, nice bright carbonation, a touch astringent dry finish with that spicy chewy briny hops
Overall started quite nice, great nose, and started with nice juicy citrus hops, then turned super spicy and briny like that made the finish turn from nice juicy NEIPA to old school west coast suck the moisture from your tongue bitter spicy hops, choose one and it would be great, but both together kinda clashes a bit and makes it difficult to drink

16oz can dated 10/5/18.
Pours hazy gold with a moderate head of white and decent retention. Pithy grapefruit with orangy citrus in the nose. Medium bodied with a creamy mouthfeel. Grapefruit pith and bitter citrus rind on the palate. Finishes a bit chalky and bitter with light malt.

Really beautiful nose. The Citra and Idaho 7 combination makes for an interesting and tasty brew, but I had to mark it down for the touch of diacetyl that I'm picking up. Unfortunate. Still good but I really would have loved this otherwise.

I really liked this IPA from Night Shift, it's a pretty standard hoppy American IPA, pretty hazy but not chunky, not overwhelmingly great or not so great in any way, just very enjoyable, and as a bonus, the label on the can is beautiful, as always. Love Night Shift!
