Poured from a 16 oz can into a tulip glass. Can dated 01/24/19.
Pours a hazy, deep copper color with 3 solid fingers of fluffy off-white head. The retention is pants-on-head stupid, lingering for decades before finally settling into a thick blanket of foam. Leaves a ton of sticky cobweb lacing as it dissipates.
The aroma brings notes of pineapple, pear, orange, grapefruit, and molasses. Then comes a wave of caramel, sweet doughy malt, and lime zest before the absolute foggiest hint of cinnamon and grassy hops.
The flavor brings quite a bit of lime and grapefruit, followed by some sweet orange and pear. The middle brings sweet molasses, caramel, and doughy malt. The cinnamon is far more present in the flavor, coming through subtly up front and breaking down the door during the finish. Hops are present but only just.
The feel is medium-full bodied with moderate carbonation. Very creamy and smooth. The cinnamon adds just enough spice to tingle the taste buds like a feather tickling your balls.
Overall, I freaking love this beer. I expected it to suck and be a jumbled mess of flavors but everything meshes together so well. It's so full of flavor yet clocks in at just 4.8%. This should be illegal.
