Poured on draft at the brewery.
Pours a hazy yellow gold color with a half finger of bright white head. The head leaves some splotchy lacing as it settles into a halo around the top of the beer.
The aroma is very grassy and earthy, with notes of lemon zest and grapefruit. Some bready malt covers the back. Not much going on here.
The flavor is very bland. Some grassy notes, grapefruit, pine needles, cracked pepper, all restrained and barely noticeable.
The feel is nice though. Medium-light bodied with good carbonation. Fluffy, yet crisp and highly drinkable.
Overall, I am just not getting this style at all. This beer is less like an IPA and more like a weak lager. The ABV is nice and crushable but the flavors just aren't there.
