Canned on 1/25, so a little over a month old. Still quite fresh. Pours gold and pretty clear. No haze. Head is full, 3-4 fingers, and frothy with outrageous retention and lacing. Unique nose: pennies, lychee, honey. Flavor follows the aroma but bitterness predominates. More vegetal and mineral than citrus. Think chicory or turnip more than pineapple or grapefruit. But tasty still. Some bits of lychee and honey at the end too, but the bitterness is dialed up just a touch too much and detracts a bit from the complexity. Nevertheless, compares favorably to any west coast IPA. Very strong offering.
