Looks like Annie Oatley has been redone, this time as a NEIPA. I didn't have the original but I'm sure this will be good, Night Shift very rarely goes wrong
Pours a hazy dark gold with 2 fingers of soapy white head that quickly fades to a cap and leaves decent lacing
The nose is very tropical on this one, lots of peach, papaya, orange, vanilla, caramel malt, and just a touch of oily hops
The front end is rife with candied peach, tangerine, and lemon with a soft malt backbone. The swallow brings some more hops, very piney and oily, along with more fruit, namely orange and melon
Wow, an absolutely perfect mouthfeel on this one. A soft medium body combines with gentle prickly carbonation for an extremely smooth beer. The finish is almost entirely drying and balanced. It's all in the oats
I was impressed by this one, way more than I had expected to be, especially in the feel. I wish there were more beers brewed with oats, I've only seen and had a few. At 4 months past canning, it was awesome, I can only imagine what it's like fresh. I hope to find more of this
