A- Pours from the 16oz can into a becher with a slightly hazy golden hue and a one finger thick and puffy white cap. Head retention is rather good. The lace forms with a mix of spots and sheets but on the whole it is plentiful and stays on the glass endlessly.

S- Not a massive overall strength but pleasant hop profile nonetheless with notes of melon, mango, bubble gum, tangerine, grapefruit, papaya, guava and dank herbs. Bright and juicy with a certain freshness throughout. All about those soft hops here with hints of whole grain and light sweetness.

T- A lot of what is in the aroma carries over with the mango, tangerine, guava, grapefruit and melon joined by some floral, pine, onion and powdery bitter hop notes. Never unpleasant but certainly obtains some of the perfumy, bitter hop resin notes so not quite as smooth as the aroma overall. Juicy tropical fruits are joined by oat, cracker, base barley and bready hints with a light sweetness throughout.

MF- Really, really puffy. With even minimal agitation this beer just fills the palate to the brim with a soft and creamy texture. Carbonation is moderately high and it ends with a grassy, herbal bitterness.

When it comes down to it a very soft and juicy, fresh aroma of tropical fruits opens up for a flavor that retains that, for the most part, but also has some perfumy and grassy notes that prevent it from being a true great NEIPA.

Poured from canned 1/30/20, on 3/20/20 into a conical pint glass (aka sleever), pale straw gold color, medium hazy, white head that retained well, some lacing, 7.5% alc, stamped on bottom of can
On the nose, sweet herbal citrus
I like the combination of Amarillo, Mosaic, and Simcoe, which give this golden ale a nice tropical fruit with a hint of orange citrus, well balanced, deceptively strong.
Smooth, brewery freshness, with natural carbonation, medium bodied, refreshing
Apparently a collaboration with Pipeworks Brewing based in Chicago. Well I'm impressed. This IPA is almost a golden ale - it is more about the hops than it is about the malt

Pint, canned on 1/30/20. Label art is vibrant, matching the VS name,. Semitransparent with a head that settles soon. Aroma is pretty clean, dank hops and malt. Taste matches smell - bitter hops and somewhat soured malt. Feel is rich and puckering. Overall, this is well balanced between the hops and malt, matching the American IPA style.

Picked-up a four-pack of cans at Kappy's in Norwell for about sixteen dollars. Have had many brews from these guys before. Solid brew, one of my favorites from them, would get again.
