notes of fresh raspberries, rich dark chocolate, ganache, hints of coffee in the aftertaste, charred espresso, dark roasted malts, the raspberries are subtly tart and juicy with a nice roasty dark chocolatey aftertaste

This beer is a raspberry lovers dream come true. The smell is like raspberry puree. The main flavor is of raspberry pie filling and the aftertaste is of dark chocolate. The body is extremely thin and drinkable for a beer this strong. Very little carbonation or head.

In the spirit of Valentine's Day, we have a raspberry chocolate stout, something of a trend around this time of year, though I think some are good enough to hold up throughout the year. It is a difficult balance though, and I trust that Night Shift handled it well
Pours a deep chestnut with2 fingers of tan head that slowly fades to a cap and leaves huge rings of lacing, really nice for the style and abv
Hmmm, the nose seems a bit more medicinal berry than I usually like in these, but it's not overbearing. I'm picking up on aromas of tart raspberry, medicinal cherry, lightly acidic coffee, some roasted malt, and dark chocolate
Thankfully the taste doesn't go too far into the berry territory, but the aftertaste of medicine slowly creeps up. On the front end, I'm tasting sweet milk chocolate, roasty coffee, and rich raspberry syrup The swallow brings notes of medicinal cherry, roasted malt, and dark chocolate, pretty much loses me at the end
A full body pairs with very gentle carbonation resulting in a sharp beer that's not overwhelmingly sweet but relies too heavily on the fruit to the point where it doesn't achieve a smooth feel. Finishes dry but the taste kills it
Oh boy, this one was all over the place. Really started strong and went downhill fast. Not really my thing but I'll still finish it
