Canned 4/20/20
Pours a large fizzy off-white head with moderate retention, light foamy lacing, very dark but clear chestnut to auburn color
Nose is nice, toasted brown and chocolate malt notes, light toasted coffee, mild grainy sweet toasted malt, hint of floral hop, a bit more like a scwarzbier
Taste brings more toasted dark malts, biscuity with a little toasted toffee notes, hint of caramel, more of the dark malts with some chocolate and a touch of roasted coffee, mild to med bitterness with light earthy hop notes, soft lager notes, with a drier finish, a bit more bitterness lingering as a med level, mild earthy spicy hop notes, and a touch of dark malt
Mouth is med bod but a soft lager, med fizzy carb
Overall pretty solid dark lager, a bit darker and roastier than a typical Mexican Dark lager, bordering Scwarzbier, but enjoyable and well lagered nonetheless
