Canned 3/30/20
Pours a deep maroon bordering on brown with a finger of pink tinted head that reduces to a ring fairly quickly with no lacing
Aromas of sweet cherry juice, raspberries, faint cacao and a hint of coffee smokiness
The taste has more tart cherry character as this is a weisse, which is nicely complimented by an earthy chocolate, rich and dark but still dry. Finishes with some but not too much lacto tartness, a light snap that keeps the flavors exciting
Light body and lightly carbonated, this finishes mostly dry but just a tad bit oily from the fruit. An interesting balance in feel because of the ingredients
Pretty interesting take on a weisse, the subtle chocolate keeps the sour elements in check which works well here. Not complex, but effective in simplicity
