Canned 9/21/20
I ended up getting a 4 pack of this at Lovejoy a while back but never got around to reviewing it. I just realized I had a can left, so I figured i might as well have it now since it's over 2 months old
Pours a completely opaque yellow orange with 2 fingers of soapy white head that slowly reduces to a thin cap and leaves decent lacing
The aroma carries notes of orange, grapefruit, overripe cantaloupe, candied peach, doughy malt, and light resinous hops
The nice aroma is lost in translation a bit to the taste as it's a bit dull. The front end has a nice tartness, think orange and lemon with some general melon to balance it out. The swallow brings a nice wave of more bitter flavors, some grapefruit rind and piney hops with a light malt sweetness to back it up
A medium body pairs with very gentle carbonation resulting in a very smooth and pillowy body. Finishes mostly dry, which I really appreciate since many beers in this style lose it on the finish
A damn solid NEIPA. Definitely faded a bit with time but it's still good. The mouthfeel really made it, just so smooth
