Back again with more Night Shift. This is actually my first of the Morph series, as I haven't seen any of them at my local store until this one showed up. I figured I'd give it a shot just bc it's Night Shift
Pours a hazy pale yellow with 3 fingers of creamy white head that slowly fades to a thin cap and leaves nice lacing
For a NEIPA, this is particularly floral in the nose, with the fruity notes playing more of a supporting role. I'm picking up on aromas of floral hops, pine sap, underripe melon, pithy grapefruit, bready malt, and a hint of onion
Thankfully the taste is less of a floral assault than the aroma, with a much better balance. On the front end of the sip I'm tasting doughy malt, pithy grapefruit, and fresh cut pine. The swallow brings notes of sweet melon, floral hops, orange rind, and crisp bready malt
A medium body pairs with very mild carbonation, resulting in a beer that is both creamy and astringent. Finishes mostly dry with a mild sweetness
A pretty odd beer overall. It had a good taste, but the mouthfeel couldn't really carry it very well, and the aroma was a bit overpowering. Still, not bad
