Milky gold color. Long lasting but small head. A spattering of streaks and spots.
Harsher hop smell with earthiness and grassy notes. Some minor alcohol and pale malt.
The malt is brief and it provides decent body. This is balanced with an elevated carbonation. The tale of the beer, though, is the extensive hopping. The grassy flavors are strongest. The finish is peppery and leaves a very long aftertaste.

Picked-up a four-pack of cans at Long Ridge Wine in Plymouth for about fourteen dollars. My twenty third brew from these guys before. This was a huge miss for me, not good.

Happy nine years to Night Shift! While they're not my very favorite brewery, they are my most reviewed by a long shot, as they always put out quality product so I'll continue to support them for a very long time. It's nice to have an anniversary beer from a brewery that is a big part of my drinking life. Let's see what this one is all about
Pours a lightly hazy orange gold with 3 fingers of soapy white head that slowly fades to a cap and leaves nice lacing. The can art is also really cool on this one with variants of their owl logo
For an imperial IPA from a Massachusetts brewery, this has a decidedly west coast-inspired aroma. I'm picking up on notes of herbal hops, pithy grapefruit, lemon peel, white pepper, and doughy malt
In taste, this has more NE-esque notes, but still with the firm bitterness laid down in the aroma. On the front end of the sip I'm tasting orange juice, red grapefruit, bready malt, and light grassy hops. The swallow brings notes of pithy grapefruit, white pepper, orange rind, doughy malt, and earthy hops
A medium body pairs with very gentle carbonation, resulting in a smooth and somewhat thick beer. Finishes off dry with a mild sweetness from the malt
This is pretty solid, but I was hoping for something a bit more innovative for a landmark beer from them. Oh well, I'm still more than happy to have tried it

If you’re familiar with Night Shift, this is quite similar to their outstanding DIPA The 87. Maybe a bit less fruity but similar. Overall excellent beer. If you like this style it’s absolutely worth trying.

Pours a hazy light orange with a small head and some lacing.
Smells of slightly dank floral hops. Tastes of grapefruit and pineapple.
Medium body and light carbonation. Lightly syrupy mouthfeel.
Very enjoyable NE IPA
