Sheesh, it’s been a minute since I’ve reviewed anything new from Night Shift, let alone an entry in their Weisse series. This on is fruited with peach and apricot, fruits that I typically think of belonging in more traditional funky wild ales a la Fou Foune, so it’ll be interesting to see how the fruits play with the more gentle base of a Weisse. Let’s find out
Pours a hazy pale orange with 2 fingers of soapy white head that fades to a thin cap and leaves minimal lacing
There’s not too much going on in the nose, and it’s a bit too sweet for my liking. I’m picking up on aromas of earthy wheat, sweet peach, bready malt, light apricot, and a touch of coriander that’s off putting
It’s a little better taste wise but not really doing it for me, it’s still just a bit too sweet. On the front end of the sip I’m tasting tart apricot, tart peach, orange juice, crackery malt, and a touch of sea salt. It falls apart again on the swallow, bringing notes of creamy peach, vanilla, bready malt, earthy wheat, and light lemon
A medium body pairs with gentle carbonation, resulting in a beer that’s too thick for the style. Finishes quite sticky and too sweet
Night Shift usually has hits, and this series is usually quite good as well, but this one just doesn’t do it for me. A little disappointing for my first new brew from them in quite some time but oh well

We love reviews (150 characters or more)! Check out: How to Review a Beer. You don't need to get fancy. Drop some thoughts on the beer's attributes (look, smell, taste, feel) plus your overall impression. Something that backs up your rating and helps others. Thanks!
