On tap at the Lovejoy Wharf location
I’m back here again! I can’t get enough of this Night Shift location, and this one seems like an interesting combination of fruits in a smoothie sour. Let’s see what it’s all about
Pours a hazy deep and vibrant orange with just a thin white head that fades to a ring and leaves no lacing
The marshmallow is very evident in the nose, really adding a pastry quality but not making it over the top. I’m picking up on aromas of honey, dried apricot, sweet cherry, toasted marshmallow, crackery malt, lemon juice, and light vanilla
Surprisingly for the style, the acidity really keeps up and the sweetness doesn’t get in the way. On the front end of the sip I’m tasting sweet cherry, orange juice, apricot, graham cracker, vanilla, and light lemon zest. The swallow brings notes of dried apricot, sweet cherry, graham cracker, lemon juice, red grapefruit, and sweet marshmallow
A medium body pairs with gentle tingling carbonation, resulting in a creamy yet refreshing beer. Finishes slightly sticky but nicely tart
This is a very good beer for the style. It’s not overblown in any way, and very nicely balanced. I hope they can this eventually
