Night Shift Brewing "Proud"
1 pint can "CANNED05/12/22 16:58 ALC.7.0%BY VOL."
$3 @ Doc's World of Beer, Phila., PA
Notes via stream of consciousness: A very hazy golden body is capped by a finger's width of antique-white foam. The full pint has a little bit of an orange mixed with brass color to it. In the nose I'm finding tropical fruits like orange, grapefruit, and nectarine. The flavor follows with some added pine and passionfruit over a lightly sweet, doughy, and honeyish malt base. The bitterness is median, and the alcohol has a minor presence. It finishes mainly dry with pine and tropical fruit lingering for a moment. In the mouth it's medium bodied but appears a little bit fuller due to a lot of extra protein and a very fine-bubbled, moderate carbonation that leaves it creamy. The head has held up quite well and the lacing is like low growing trees with wide canopies surrounding a creamy lake of white foam. All in all I find it to be nicely balanced and quite satiating.
