Jammy. Fruity. Dense. Look had a quickly receding head of white foam that appeared slightly reddish given the rhubarb colored body (with no opacity -- looks almost like a jam or smoothie ale). Scent has a fantastically tart array of raspberry, blackberry, and blueberry that lives up to the branding. Taste has delightful waves of puckery sourness and delicious fruit making for a wide range of sensations. Feel is light, crisp, and sour with a great sour berry aftertaste. Overall a fantastic sour that really does the darker berry concept well.

It’s been a hot minute since I’ve had anything from Night Shift’s Weisse series, and this new one sounds like it’s right up my alley. A mix of raspberry, blackberry, and blueberry, this is a combination that I just couldn’t pass up. Let’s get into it
Pours an opaque reddish purple with a finger of pinkish white head that fades to a ring and leaves minimal lacing
It’s refreshing to have a new beer in this series that’s actually tart, at least in the nose. I’m picking up on aromas of jammy raspberry, tannic blueberry, lemon juice, doughy malt, tart blackberry, and a touch of vanilla
And it successfully keeps up its promise of tartness in taste, but still remains nicely balanced. On the front end of the sip I’m tasting raspberry sorbet, tart blackberry, lemon juice, wheat bread, jammy blueberry, and a touch of orange juice. The swallow brings notes of jammy blueberry, jammy raspberry, earthy wheat, lemon zest, tart blackberry, and light vanilla
A medium body pairs with moderately high carbonation, resulting in a sharp and tart beer. Finishes dry and nicely balanced
This is one of the best beers I’ve had from this series in quite some time. Hopefully they keep this up going forward
