Generally: Being a fella who sells beer in Boston, I am always keen to like our local craft brews... because I want Boston and environs to be a mecca, if you will, of all things gustatory. I'd like to add that I quite like the one fella that I met from Night Shift... I do not, however, like this beer much, though I admire its hop assault. You see, I dream of hops. Here we have pureed Amarillo hops and just-not-quite-enough of anything else to balance the beer out. The Amarillo hops are splendidly dry, and bright. Sadly, the (8+ABV?) falls like acrid syrup on the pallet in the wake of the beautiful hop parade. I feel like I've been taken advantage of after half a bottle!
The Pour: Bottle conditioning anyone? There's all manner of yeast floating around in this fella, which suggests aging, but then how much more ABV do you needs out of this thug? Viscous appearance, nice honeyed color, complacent head.
Face in the glass: The nose is the best thing on this beer. Floral rose notes give way to ripe melon, fresh hay, and insistent citrus hop notes. It's a stunner on the nose.
With Regard to Taste: Mellowing would help this beer enormously, if that's in the cards. Having said that, honestly, treat this guy with kid gloves. It's not joking around. My biggest critique-- no light touch here. I live for hops, but this is almost too much. Palate assault! Everything you have tasted in the last 27 hours will be wiped out.
Abstract: At best, an aspiring Hop Colossus that drinks a little too much like medicine for my delicate palate. Umm, it will certainly get you drunk.
Epitoma: While there is almost no nuance in this beer, I am going to have to try it again when it gets colder as I think it might settle with me more readily with a chill in the air.
Note: Should you ever be curious what Amarillo hops impart in a beer, here's Amarillo Hops 101 x 1,000.

Batch one from 9-9-13
Cloudy, Deep gold/ruby red with big Belgian off white head with spotty lace.
Smells strong fruity, pungent
Taste has an immediate punch of citrus/slight pine and the Belgian barnyard bitterness in the mix too with nice depth of flavor with a nice malt backbone
Overall very nice, easily buy again and need to try more from these guys!!

Bottled 9-9-13, Batch #1, 8.6% ABV. Just over 2 weeks old.
A: Beautiful ruby red pour. Enormous and effervescent light tan head. Head fades slowly with great retention, but only the tiniest little dots of lacing. Extra points for the wonderful hue.
S: Juicy tropical fruits. Citrusy, with orange and tangerine. Maybe apricot? Hints of belgian influence with some minor cloves and a little bit of yeasty bread. Bit of black pepper too.
T: Sweet and juicy citrus up front. Definite orange and tangerine. Lots of black pepper from the belgian yeast. Grainy bread with some cloves, especially in the aftertaste. More black pepper in the finish with a moderate wave of bitterness from the hops.
M: Smooth and medium bodied.
O: Solid brew. I place it in between citranation and simcoenation. Nice juicy citrus with plenty of belgian influence to back it up. Ends up pretty complex and balanced for a single hop beer.

Growler tat was shared and poured into a Duvel Tulip Style Glass. Comes out a dark amber color. Slight haze to it and it glows like honey when holding it up to the light. There is a nice sligtly darker than cream with an orange tint colored head that comes up pretty thick with some nice lacing to it.
Smell is good. Some nice bready malt sweetness to it. There's a nice follow up of a little bit of citrus and some other tropical flavors.
Taste is about as equal as the smell. The malty, sweet breadiness is totally there and starts it off nice. After that there's some mild citrus hop as well as there's a wee bit of pineapple and mango and maybe some other tropical fruit blends, works really well together.
Moutfeel is there. It's full bodied and a good carbonation level. A little gritty but somewhat smooth I suppose. The full bready sweetness starts it off then a nice close to dry finish. The drinkability is totally there, it's good all day. I love amarillo hops, but the disadvantage to this being a Belgian style IPA is I don't find amarillo hops to be aggressive enough to handle Belgian style malts and yeasts, so I think this could be a little stronger.
A really good Belgian (double) IPA, but Citrination was better in my opinion.
Thanks for coming over and sharing JJ!
