Pours a murky dark orange-brown with a foamy khaki head that settles to wisps of film on top of the beer. Foamy streaks of lace form around the glass on the drink down. Smell is of slightly sour with malt, earth, dark fruit, funk, and Brett aromas. Taste is much the same with slightly sour earth, dark fruit, funk, and Brett flavors on the finish. There is a mild amount of acidity and Brett bitterness on the palate with each sip. This beer has a good level of carbonation with a crisp mouthfeel. Overall, this is a pretty good beer with Brett and funk characteristics that are fairly dominant all around.

Outstanding beer. One of the best balances of sour and flavor. Dry. sour finish bal with small
Hop bitterness. Don't get this if u want strong sourness. This beer is about balence and drinkability. Mod to low alch. Strongly recommended if u want a sour bal beer with restrained alc.

Poured into the Saxo wine-style glass. Big foam-up but not over the top. The dark brownish brew settles down to a manageable sudsy mouthful.
The flavor is just brettanomyces, and that's the aroma as well. Dry and bitter aftertaste. Not much malt, just that distinctive yeasty tang. A touch acidic. Not my idea of a Saison by any means.
This is so light and plain it doesn't seem to be a very good vehicle for the brett treatment. From the 750 ml corked bottle purchased at Bine & Vine in San Diego for twelve bucks.
