Pours a dense hazy opaque pale straw colour, almost but not quite orange juice.

Smell is nice citrus still can't properly name fruit, but it's very nice.

Taste is the same.

Feel is carbonated just enough to balance the rich mouth feel of the beer. I think monkish is my favourite us brewery now.

 

This was canned on 5/11/21 so it’s not the freshest.

All said, it’s still smoother than 90’s Carmen Electra after a fresh wax (I didn’t want to go with current CE cuz maybe she’s older and a bit more hairy [as age does to us]). Anyway, it’s falls a bit flat after some nice melon boom boom. So like a lot of things in this life, I would have preferred it to be fresher (but a taste is still a taste).

Poured from a growler, filled 05/23/18 (Batch 4).

Poured a nice hazy golden yellow, with a good amount of sticky lace left around the glass and a finger head of bubbly foam that dissipated quickly.

The nose on this is all tropical at first. Ripe mango, pineapple, and tangerine hit the nose with force. Following closely is a hint of hop bitterness and booze. Great balance.

The flavors are a bit more subtle, but you can really pick out everything. The juicy fruits are more subdued, replaced with a nice earthy hoppiness and hints of booze throughout. Again, great balance, this is really well done.

The mouthfeel on this is awesome. Creamy, juicy, smooth. Sticky finish, but such a pillowy soft beer.

 

 

 

 

 

 

Really juicy/melony, not overly hoppy but still great amounts, extremely well balanced.
