Type: 16-oz. can
Reviewed as: New England Double / Imperial IPA
Glass: Monkish 16-oz. mug
Price: $22 for a 4-pack
From: Monkish Brewing Company in Torrance, Calif.
Purchased: April 9, 2021
Consumed: April 22, 2021
Misc.: Collab with Side Project and Shared; Canned on April 6, 2021 at 10:16 a.m. PT; Split 4-pack with Sonny
Picked up a 4-pack of this and four others while picking up my family a few weeks ago. Psyched to see that it was a collab with Side Project and Shared (Side Project’s side project). Monkish’s website called it “Collaboration with Side Project and Shared. Double Dry Hopped (DDH) Double IPA w/ Galaxy, Cashmere, Vic Secret, and Centennial hops.”
Poured a light-to-medium golden hazy color with three fingers of white frothy head. Lots of bubble streams coming up along the sides of the glass. World-class foamy lacing. Perfect thick foamy retention. (Sight - 4.75)
Smelled big Galaxy right away, really as soon as I opened the can. For other mentioned hops for sure on the nose got Cashmere and Vic Secret, but not Centennial. Also passion fruit, peach, lemon, lime, pineapple, grapefruit, herbal, melon, viney berry and grass. About the same out of the can. (Smell - 4.25)
Tasted even better than the nose. A little cleaner too. Still big Galaxy, peach, passion fruit, Vic Secret, grapefruit, Cashmere, lemon, lime, pine, pineapple, herbal, melon, viney berry and grass. Maybe a little Centennial, which I used to associate with lime and pine. (Taste - 4.25)
Medium body. Creamy texture. Average carbonation. Long, bitter finish. (Feel - 4.50)
Another excellent offering from Monkish. (Overall - 4.25)

This one pours a very murky and hazy orange color, with a small head, and lots of lacing.
This smells like citrus, melon, lupulin burn, wheat, and grassiness.
This tastes like creamy and slightly bitter citrus, with some cream of wheat, light pine and grassiness, and no real malt character.
This is very creamy and rich, but still light on the palate, with a great level of drinkability.
This is pretty solid stuff. It's a bit silly to call this a triple collab, though.
