From tasting notes 6/28/19
Had on-tap at Monkish Brewing in Torrance, CA
Appearance - Served up in a tulip, slight haze and golden in color. Thin, broken layer of suds on the surface. Some thin horizontal sheeting and spotting make up the lace.
Smell - Sharp, tart aroma with lemony character. Fair oaky undertone. Faint funk.
Taste - Follows the nose. Tart, lemony character with a bit of oakiness riding beneath and even lesser funk that can be found in the finish. Finishes as it starts, with that lemony tartness lingering in the aftertaste.
Mouthfeel - Light in body with fair carbonation. Slick, easy drinker before a sharp, dry finish.
Overall - Nice farmhouse ale. Not as funky as most, but the lemony tartness and sharp finish make this a fine summer sipper.
