Thanks, Dave!
Was lucky enough to get this one and three others from Dave on a recent meet-up. I usually wouldn’t review a beer as old as 77 days (I don’t like to go past 60 days), to me this was fine as most Monkish beers seem to be released too soon anyway. Monkish’s Anaheim website called for “Double Dry Hopped Double India Pale Ale w/ Galaxy & Nelson Sauvin.”
Poured a bright light golden hazy color with 2-to-3 fingers of frothy white head. Could see lots of bubble streams coming up along the sides of the glass. Excellent uneven foamy lacing. Almost perfect retention. (Sight - 4.50)
Smelled pretty damn good from the beginning. Specifically got peach, passion fruit, Galaxy, Nelson, orange creamsicle, orange sorbet, tangerine and melon. Almost as good from the can. (Smell - 4.25)
The taste wasn’t nearly as good as the nose. In order got peach, passion fruit, tangerine, Galaxy, Nelson, orange creamsicle, orange sorbet, gooseberry, white grape, melon and lingering spice. (Taste - 4.25)
Medium body. Creamy texture. Average carbonation. Citrusy finish. (Feel - 4.25)
Just a really nice beer. Slightly underrated this as well. Excellent. (Overall - 4.25)

6 weeks old. Can to wine glass.
L: Pours a full and hazy milky yellow with a foamy white head that dissipates rather quickly and leaves a good amount of lacing. No floaters.
S: White grapes, fresh strawberries and yellow citrus fruits. Slightly grassy.
T: White grapes and fresh citrus fruits. A fruity orange sweetness is followed by the bitterness of grapefruit.
F: Full and soft with a medium carbonation and a zesty punch as it warms.
O: Overall a nicely drinkable DIPA with an elegant flavor profile. Nelson is clearly dominating, but Galaxy is definitely there, too. Smooth, full-bodied and sharp at the same time. Very good beer.

Single finger head over opaque yellow body.
Nelson more so than Galaxy. Beautifully fragrant.
Pineapple, with the expected white wine in the background and mixes well with melon character from Galaxy. Sweet and zero citrus. Aftertaste's a delectable, if not musty.
Perfect silky feel.

L -- A beautiful shade of hazy orange in the glass with two fingers of solid white head
S -- Pretty mild. White grape, mango, orange zest, kiwi
T -- Sweet orange, lemon zest, yellow grapefruit rind, kiwi, hint of dry earthiness
F -- A bit limp and watery. Medium mouthfeel medium carb
O -- Have not been particularly impressed by the Monkish NEIPAs I've had. I get the sense they get a ratings boost since there is a lot less competition on the west coast

From tasting notes 07/18/19
Had on-tap at Monkish Brewing in Torrance, CA
Appearance - Served up in a tallish snifter, opaque and pale orange in color with a thin, broken layer of suds atop and a thick ring around the edge of the glass. Strong lacing, with thick, broken webbing, lines and spotting decorating the glass.
Smell - Soft aroma, but I'm finding notes of melon, pineapple and citrus.
Taste - Follows the nose, but to a greater degree. Honeydew melon with lesser pineapple. White grapefruit emerges mid-taste and into the finish, leaving balanced finish before a slightly pithy aftertaste.
Mouthfeel - Medium in body with fair carbonation. Smooth, lightly creamy body before a mostly dry finish.
Overall - Another great beer from Monkish. Not quite as creamy as most of their other hazy offerings, but still displays a bit before that dry finish.
