Had poured from the bottle at Monkish Brewing in Torrance, CA
Appearance - Served up into tulip, hazy and straw yellow in color with a mostly barren surface and a fair ring of suds around the edges. Small spots and a handful of thin lines make up the lacing.
Smell - Extreme sourness, almost a stomach acid aroma with a bit of fruitiness sitting beneath.
Taste - Follows the nose. Vinegary, gastric acid like sourness with hints of peach and tangerine fruitiness coming through once the initial acidic bite dies down in the finish.
Mouthfeel - Light in body with sharp, bitey carbonation. Slick drinker before a sharp, crisp and bone dry finish.
Overall - There are sours that show a nice tartness, and then there are those that remind you of the time vomited up a whole bunch of lemon juice. This one, unfortunately, falls under the latter. Its okay, but I wouldn't order it again.
